Stone Smoked Porter
Brewed by: Stone Brewing Co., Escondido, Calif.
Style: Porter
ABV: 4.9
4.5 out of 5 burps
It’s a chilly, all-day-rainy, bleak, spring-greened and beer-futured day. And the future is now, and now is this Smoked Porter from Escondido, Calif.
Wait, what? I’m not drinking local?! Dammit.
I’ll have to drown my ungreen sorrows and freshly acquired 13.32-miles-in-1:56 fatigue in this glorious smoked-but-not-too-smoked mahogany-hued goodness. And while I’m at it, I’m going to say “Escondido” over and over again. Try it. It’s fun to say. But it’s no “funnel weaver.” Try that one while dropping your R’s. Good times.
P.S. Undammit.
Tasted at: Black Acre Brewing Co.,
East Washington Street, Indianapolis
